Art and Music - Students 1) use a variety of media to develop art skills, and 2) learn about composers and their music. (Farmer)
Social Studies and Theater - Using a literature based approach, students will listen to and discuss On The Banks of Plum Creek (Laura Ingalls Wilder), the story of Laura's experiences growing up in the late 1800's. Students will create and perform a simple dramatization of the story for their parents. (Rohe)
Math – math enrichment activities for first and second graders. (Rohe)
Science and Geography – Using labs and hands on activities, students explore the exciting world of life and physical science. Learn the location of countries and study geographical regions. (Farmer)
Physical Education – Students enjoy a variety of physical activities, including age-appropriate physical games in the 24' x 42' room, and an all-time favorite, the obstacle course. Competition is usually in the form of 'trying to beat my own time'; good sportsmanship and having fun are emphasized. (Rohe)
